My doctor referred me to a general hospital for sudden deafness. The hospital told me that I could be hospitalized or not, but is there any criteria by which I should be hospitalized for sudden deafness?
If you can be hospitalized, be hospitalized.
There is no standard criteria for hospitalization for sudden deafness, but hospitalization is necessary for intravenous infusions that dissolve blood clots. Other than that, I think a restful hospitalization is also effective for sudden deafness, which is said to be caused by stress, because it allows time for rest. Personally, I would recommend hospitalization if all three adjacent frequencies are above 30 decibels or if there is dizziness even if they are not above 30 decibels.
